If you notice water stains on your ceiling or walls or notice active dripping water, call our office right away. We’ll promptly fix your roof leak so that you don’t sustain more water damage. It’s important that you don’t ignore a roof leak; otherwise, you could be left with a very expensive problem.

Are you fully licensed and insured?
Yes, Ernie Smith & Sons Roofing is fully licensed and insured in all four states we serve: Texas, Florida, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. In fact, we’re members of the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas, which presented legislation to require licensing in Texas.
What warranties do you offer?
We provide a standard in-house 5-year labor warranty across most projects. Full GAF roof replacements come with either a Silver Pledge or Golden Pledge warranty, which include a 10-year and 25-year labor warranty, respectively.
Do you offer financing?
Yes, you can finance your roofing project through our trusted partners, Wells Fargo and Finturf, offering flexible payment options—including terms of up to 240 months—to fit your budget.
How long does it take to get pre-qualified?
Getting pre-qualified takes less than a minute! Pre-qualification doesn’t negatively impact your credit score.
How do you protect my property during a roof replacement?
Respecting your home and landscaping are important to us. We made a custom covering for AC units so that they don’t burn during the replacement. Additionally, we have a rigorous cleanup process so that you don’t find spare nails or debris in your yard after the project.
Are you certified by any manufacturers?

Can you install any type of roofing material?
We sure can! After 35 years in the industry, we have expertise across all roofing materials. Asphalt shingles, metal, cedar shakes, clay and concrete tile, synthetic shingles, flat roofing… You name it!
Can you install siding?
Yes, our team can tackle your siding replacement project as well as any roofing projects.
What commercial roofing materials can you install?
We’re competent in all commercial flat roofing materials, including TPO and EPDM. Additionally, we can install metal panels, shingles, and clay tiles for sloped commercial roofs like churches and HOAs.
Can you install new gutters for my house?
Yes, if you need new gutters or roof vents with your roof replacement, we can definitely help!
How do I know if it’s time for a roof replacement?
Most standard asphalt shingles last for 15-25 years. If your roof is over 15 years old and is showing signs of wear (missing or damaged shingles, curling shingles, sagging roof deck, algae streaks, missing granules), then it may be time for a new roof. Typically, if more than 25-30% of your roof has damage, we recommend a full replacement.
